mea documents

This section will provide our members quick access to our collective bargaining agreement, as well as some of our foundational documents (below). Please download a copy of your contract. If you require a hard copy – it is 187 pages, so consider that before you print. If cannot print it, please contact the MEA office, we may be able to help.

If you need help with the contract – understanding what’s in it, or interpreting a section, or if you just have questions, please contact one of your building reps first. They are a great resource for knowing and understanding your collectively bargained rights.

Mission

Equity

As a union MEA stands together to support our schools in reaching for educational equity where “every student has access to the resources and educational support they need at the right moment in their education, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, language, ability, family background, or family income.” The association understands that equity is not only a need for students but for staff members as well and works for a future where each of us has what we need in the form of resources and support.  Please click below to read more.

A Word from our

President

“It is a privilege to share the workplace with such an amazing staff. You have gone above and beyond for your students and co-workers this year and are deserving of this overdue break. Now is the time for you to focus on yourself and your loved ones. May this occasion bring you joy, happiness, and hope. Best wishes for you and your family this holiday season.”

– Becky Roberts

About MEA

Marysville Education represents our members and works for better salaries, benefits, and working conditions. We do much more than that though. As a labor group, we also work for the betterment of the educational environment, ranging from the physical, to the social. The Marysville Education Association is deeply committed to equity and social justice issues. Though MEA is non-partisan, our goals do sometimes require a commitment in that arena. Take a look at this video to learn more.
